The Chicago Manual of Style/Turabian

According to The Chicago Manual of Style Online, source citations come in two styles: 

• Notes-Bibliography - preferred in literature, history and the arts. Sources are cited in numbered footnotes or endnotes with a bibliography at the end of the document.

• Author-Date - preferred in the sciences and social sciences. Sources are cited in the text with a bibliography at the end of the document.
